Chief Winfield Recognized as 2025 Ohio D.A.R.E. Law Enforcement Executive of the Year

The Waverly Police Department is proud to announce that Police Chief Winfield has been honored as the 2025 Ohio D.A.R.E. Law Enforcement Executive of the Year. This prestigious recognition reflects his unwavering commitment to the D.A.R.E. program and its vital role in promoting safety and drug prevention among youth in our community.

Chief Winfield’s leadership has been instrumental in supporting the D.A.R.E. program at Waverly City Schools, with the assistance of SRO Officer Ballein. His dedication to fostering a safe and supportive environment for our children exemplifies the values that the Waverly Police Department stands for.

The award will be presented on July 7th during the awards ceremony at the D.A.R.E./SRO Conference in Sandusky, Ohio. This honor not only recognizes Chief Winfield’s contributions but also highlights the collaborative efforts between the Waverly Police Department and Waverly City Schools.
